T2 versus T1 for full-route trips
Choose by where you are coming from, not by cost. The toll is identical from T1 or T2 to T8.
- Use T1 if you are arriving from the M42 (J9), the NEC, Birmingham Airport or the A446 from the south.
- Use T2 if you are in Sutton Coldfield, Curdworth, or already on the A446 north of Coleshill. Saves 4 to 6 miles of M42 / A446 approach.
- Cost is the same. Both bill at the 3-zone rate (£12.00 car contactless).
